I've owned my segways for two years now...considering the cost of the battery upgrade....was wondering if there is going to be a trade in policy at the dealerships. It may be cheaper to buy a new segway rather than upgrade the battery and software.

I would suggest that before someone up and gets a new Seg just for the range of the new batteries ask yourself if you really need the extra range? Six or eight miles may be more than you really need in range. I don't need the extra range and when I do I carry my 12 volt with me to make sure I stay charged up to get me back home.
It would be interesting for some of the dealers to post a price range of what they would give someone on a trade in.

The dealer in Annapolis Maryland was looking for used Segs a few weeks back and trying to get all of us to give up our babys!
He says there is a big call these days for the second hand Segway!
Dick at Segnation - Segway of Annapolis is the guy to contact!
