Karl (KSagal) should be able to point you to his source. He has some really nice shiny spinners on his E model Segway.

Who would want spinners with the Nazi iron cross on the wheels?
Sad times.

The Nazis abused a lot of symbols, indelibly changing their meaning for (at least) the next few generations.
The Maltese Cross (Formée Cross) was a symbol of bravery from the time of the crusades, worn by returning knights as symbols of their bravery and service when they rescued their comrades from burning oil that would rain down from castle walls (which is why it figures prominently in many current fire department logos and badges today). http://www2.prestel.co.uk/church/oosj/cross.htm
The swastika was a symbol of well being, fertility and life from as far back as Mesopotamia. http://www.allsands.com/history/objects/swastikashistor_adw_gn.htm
Don't let your proper hatred of a despicable group who used the symbol extend to the symbol itself. That would be as wrong as extending the hate for a rapist to the victim.
Sorry for the off-topic response to an off-topic response, I promise to be good from here on!

Its ironic, that some of the symbols from Hilter-ian days are recognized now, iE: the pink triangle used my hitler to brand lesbians. is there "logo" now a days.. OK, Im done also with off topic rant

I'm embarrassed to say that my very shiny chrome spinners are actually chromed plastic.
They are cheap spinner hubcaps that I found in Wal-Mart in Durham, NC when I was stuck down there for a few weeks on business. I bought them as an experiment, and it worked great.
I use the "Chrome Flame" from the 15 inch hubcap. I drilled and tapped the lock nuts to make union bolts, but while at Segfest, Itzi turned me on to a much better and easier mount. Use a rubber plug, about 1.25 inches, with a hole in the center. A bolt in that hole, over tightened, will expand the rubber to grip the sides of the hole in the center of the wheel. Use a bolt long enough to mount the spinner bearing from the hubcap, and presto! Spinner hubcaps.
I posted photos last year. I run the spinners all the time unless I am in deep snow with Zorba'a studded tires...

Check the E with spinners next to Doug Field. We're both in the light blue shirts, he is low on the left, I've chrome on wheels and my hairdo.
And now... My family & spinners... Images are available at the following link: http://12.162.163.166/ksagal.htm
I have changed my configuration a bit, but the spinners remain!

Karl: Don't be embarrassed by ingenuity! I can think of no reason to plop down $100+ per wheel for true spinners on a Seg that's used every day. Almost every wheel cover gets smacked by doors and door jambs, it makes sense to make them disposable, affordable and not dentable.
Side note: we're changing web hosts, Karl's link won't work much longer. I'll post his new link when we're completely moved.
