Got your attention, huh?
Well...
I was looking through amazon.com and clicked the "3 used and new" link.
It brought me here:

Probably a scam, but I guess these guys find new ways every day.

Ooh, I can't stand this kind of stuff. I had a very close call a couple years back buying an ultralight (small plane), and my bank wound up catching something with a check that was sent to me and issued an investigation.

Considering that the Segway HTs are assembled in New Hampshire, I don't see how one in Europe could possibly be a bargain. I would have to have been built in NH and shipped to Europe with taxes, duties, VAT, etc.
So, either this is an outright scam and there are no machines or they are stolen.

Zoli, thank you for posting this, because it's something that came up at Segway Orange County's sale this past weekend. One of the first persons to drive up Saturday morning was a very nice lady probably in her 60's who told me right off the bat that she was getting a brand new Segway through Amazon for $1500 and it will be delivered next week. She said it was through "Amazon Marketplace" and she'd had some sort of bid in for it for quite a while. (I don't know how that stuff works.) She had recently "renewed" her bid, and was so happy to have gotten this message that she was about to receive a Segway.
I told her I didn't believe it was possible, no matter WHAT the circumstances were, and that it certainly sounded like a scam. She hoped it wasn't and was convinced it was coming from Beverly Hills. She is trying to do it with her American Express card and will have some recourse with them, but I bet this guy won't accept AE.
I'm sure you can imagine the temptation for me to invite her to leave and get her training from whoever is selling her this Segway, but I just couldn't do it. I could not picture this not-so-young woman trying to get on and off a Segway all by herself, so we did the on and off basics--nothing approaching a real training session. I asked who was going to train her, and she thought no one.
We all talked later and figured she was probably going to receive a brand new Q, and at least now she'd been on a real Segway and would realize she'd been had.
Last week two ladies took home a Segway under our Home for the Holidays promotion, enjoyed it, brought it back, and said they could buy it cheaper on ebay (despite our very heavy discounting). Bye, bye ladies.
This Internet crap sucks.
