Thanks for the tip but I'm looking for more specific marketing analysis: strengths, weakness, oportunity, threat, brand personality etc. Textbook marketing stuff.
Anyone have some sources? Thanks
Segway is a privately held company and does not release that information. The best you will get is people's opinions about it. We have no "facts" here.

This might provide some insight into the "early days."

The only other thing I can suggest is a Google news search on "Segway marketing." I'm not aware of any articles that specifically address Segway's marketing efforts from a "textbook" perspective.

I would contact Carla at LLC. See what they have to offer. If they can't help, then I'm afraid there is not much else out there. The marketing effort up to this year was not much more than Amazon/Brookstone...

Kip,
I would love to see your paper as well.
Segway is a very interesting study as they have accomplished to point mainly on PR and mostly without cost.
The implementation of the dealer network with coop advertising fees is changing that but nothing on a national scale that I know of.
Happy Thanksgiving!
