An artical from IT Trends from Campus Technology:

UCLA Transit talked about the possibility of getting some for the campus, but the department heads decided they only wanted to invest in vehicles that carried more than one person (except for police motorcycles).

It was a good article, but I can't stand when reporters keep calling it a "scooter" like that!

I agree! The word "scooter"is almost offensive in it's inaccuracy. I sent the author an email pointing out the fact that at no point in any Segway literature is the HT ever referred to as a scooter, and that I suspected there would be others who would point out the differences. I hope they have thick skin!

Does this mean that PSU may become a Segway friendly campus now?
.... One can only dream.

Above all, the machine has no feeling, it feels no fear and no hope...it operates according to the pure logic of probability.
For this reason I assert that the robot perceives more accurately than man.
