Mike Wendland is in town and wrote a short blurb about me. It is just the tip of the iceberg but you might find it interesting.

That rocks!!!!
L7, is that a Sony DCR-PC5? If so I have the same camera... How do you have it mounted to your rig??? I have a 25,0 bag, and am looking for a proper camera mount for the crossmember but I can't find one... any mounting hints?
Thanks,
Sal

L7 - Wow, nice set up! Your gear is worth more than your Seg. I like your simple solution for the charging light indicator.

That's fantastic. (all your modifications)
I have to try it. But since I have the 25.0 bag now, I don't know if I can use the same mounting system you have for the camera. I am wondering if I can rig up a way to use the top of the tripod mount in conjunction with a bicycle handlebar bracket of some kind and mount the camers directly atop the horizontal crossmember of the 25.0 frame (the part that attaches to the control shaft).

You may want to look at using a window mount for a camera/camcorder. I have one that I bought at the Mountain Equipment Co-op (Canada's answer to REI) for about $15. that I have used successfully on my bike. It is a bolt tensioned "ball and cup" arrangement, that is very secure. Another possiblility is cobbling up a system from RAM compnoents. They make every possible combination of GPS, PDA and cellphone mounts for vehicles, and I suspect they might be the ticket. A bit pricey, but they are top notch quality.
