As of now we will meet at our diner, The Nations Cafe for a 6:00 meal and then glide over the East River on the 59th St Bridge and back.
However a plan might be worked out for a very large interior special place but it will require an afternoon meeting.
I will post the details as they are confirmed. The 4th is a saturday so maybe more folks can join us, let me now if you are going to attend. This might be one of the great ones! but dress warm since we will be gliding over bridges with beautiful skyline views. I think each person should bring one guest to start building the membership, we have extras machine for them.

Found a place semi indoors and it is free.
Friday the 3rd at 6 PM.
The Frying Pan is at 23rd St. and the Hudson River there is free parking. If you are coming by car give me a call.
The owner is Segway Friendly.
We can glide to a nearby restaurant for dinner

Corrected the spelling, Thanks Jonathan. Without any responses from members to host the meeting, I went on and set the date, (which is always on the 4th), sorry Joanne & Steve.
Bill, I think the cold weather and distance to get to 12th AVE and being exposed to the river winds needs to wait for a warm evening.
December on a Friday night at 6pm is a hard time to find a place who wants Segways parked in their space. Let's keep plans as they are for now, if we have a better site for Sat afternoon, ok.

Since it is a Saturday, why not make the meeting during the day - lunchtime?

Stan, that was my thinking also , if we start to change for each persons schedules, it will never work out(remember your wife's birthday, Howard's work). Sorry J&S are booked but they will return. I am looking for a great and entertaining spot. Maybe a Saturday daytime inside meeting with some special event will bring out new people and their families. I am working on something great for that day, but will not know until next week.

I never asked for a meeting to be changed because of my wife's birthday. I was able to attend on the 4th. Someone else suggested changing the meeting from the normal 4th of the month to the 5th and I said I could not come that day because of my wife's birthday.

I did not suggest lunchtime on Saturday to accomodate me. I suggested it because I thought it might be a change of pace from the usual dark night time meetings during on weekdays. And, as you said, a different time may make it easier for others and new people to attend.

Your right, my point was lets keep the 4th of the month as the date.
Saturday about 1pm sounds good to me.

I will try my hardest to be there. I don't know right now what I am up to on that day.
