while cruising around the web I found this news story:
http://www.thedesertsun.com/news/stories2004/business/20041029222010.shtml
The part that got my attention is:
Next year, he will sell the Segway HT Golf, a device with bigger batteries, traction tires and a golf bag carrier.
Interesting

I like that further battery confirmation with the Segway Golf, but as a whole the article annoyed me a little. Little things like "it can't go down curbs" got to me. I can't believe they need to be registered and have a "certificate of proficiency" in that area... that stinks!

When the Segway golf becomes available, it will open a whole new market for the Segs. There are a lot of golfers out there who will take the bait. It gives them independence in that a golf cart is normally shared.
I know of a few cases where people have already modified their HT's to carry a golf bag.
Bring it on.

Segway had that golf bag attachment on display at Segway Fest in Florida. It looks very well designed, manufactured and sturdy.

We've been golfing with our Segway for over a year, see picture album. The problem is most golf courses will not let you use the Segway. Its a revenue thing! Roy

To solve the "revenue thing", golf courses could buy their own small fleet of Segways, and rent them to people who prefer them over a golf cart. The extended range batteries will make that much more feasible.
Some golfers would go out of their way to play over and over at a course that rents Segways.
