According to schedule, it looks like SamsClub.com has successfully completed thier Segway HT p133 promotion (roughly on schedule per their advertisement).

The price is no longer $2,488. It's back to $3,995--see your local dealer for availability :)

It was a great deal while it lasted though!

Chris

P.S. I see that the p-series is still being offered by Segway LLC. ;) The reports of its demise have certainly been exaggerated.

Is there any way to get an idea of how many were sold? It would be interesting to see just how many orders were placed.

I have to believe that the desire created by the offer was not satiated in the very short period of the sale. Way too many folks have approached me with a keen interest after they noticed the sale who had zero interest in HTs prior. A smart move with probable decent capital infusion on LLC's part. You can't sell them if nobody knows they're available! I bet the dealers reap a huge benefit in the long term, despite the previous discount in price from elsewhere.

SegwayCity - I totally agree... that was a very smart move on LLC's part. I have been riding around in the city of cleveland and many people have taken and intrest in the HT due to the SC offer. When I tell them that the offer is over they get a sad look but when I mention the store here in cleveland they perk up and ask if they can take a ride at the store. I think it hurt the dealers at first but will be better in the long run for them since the HT gained so much exposure!!!!!

Great news. Let's keep our fingers crossed and not be shy about demanding the new battery technology.

Isn't revisionism fun?
