Hey, that's the _second_ person I've heard of who rewarded themselves with an HT when they lost enough weight. The other one was an i-series owner who made it a goal to get a p-series when they worked off a few pounds and were under the weight limit :)

I read the article a couple of days ago, but didn't realize until I saw Stan's comment that the guy in the story is you! I remember enjoying the pics a while back of you segging in the surf in Hawaii - That was obviously from the trip you mentioned in the article.

I know for most of us here the Segway has added a lot to our way of life and the quality of life. But for you, the Segway is just a small part of that new improved life!

I wanted to save my "story" for my 500th post - making me a senior member, but the story was released and I figured ahh what the hell!

When people say that Im lazy, using a segway I step off the platform and tell them my story. they usually appreciate the segway in a whole nother way!

Congrats Jonathan! I'm the one Chris is referring to. When I ordered my I in 2002 I was pushing 250, but got down to 220 or so when it was time for Seg training. When the P came out with a weigh limit of < 200 I had another goal. Finally started eating right with lots of exercise and got to < 190. And the weight's been off for most of this year, no looking back now!

You're the man, Jonathan! You, too, Steve! My sister had the same surgery about a year ago, and she wouldn't ride my Segway prior to her weight loss. Now, I can't get her off the thing! It's really amazing to see the improvements in her health and self-confidence - I'm sure you're feeling the same way.
