Will someone please take the time to do some accurate measurements of BOTH the I and P Series specifications for a project I am working on?

I need the control shaft diameter(s) for both models - the sliding portion above the clamping collar as well as the lower, fixed portion. I think the BEST method to measure is to wrap a piece of plain paper around the shaft and make a mark where the end of the top portion of the paper overlaps the other end. If you can provide the measurements in MM please - there is usually a MM scale on the other side of a cheap "Regular school ruler."

If I had that Circumference, I can divide by Pi (3.1416) and get a pretty accurate diameter. What I need is a Hole Size for a BIG CLAMP which will be adjustable in the upper or lower CS.

What is the "step up height to the P platform? I hear about 4".

What is the Platform Thickness (I and P)- including the battery packs?

What is the Ground Clearance?

What is the Side-to-Side platform width on both the I and the P? The horizontal space between the vertical plates on the gear boxes where the rubber mat is located?

What is the platform front-to-back measurement on the I and the P?

Hey Wallace,
If your thinking of inventing a pressure activated, light sensing headlight for the segway, I already did!

Dude!

No. It is a design project for Leonard Timm of DRAFT and his new SEGSEAT.

Leonard's new seat sure looks slick in the SegFest photos.

Hey Wayne. I was wondering when you were gonna show us SC'rs that didn't attend last years Segfest, how your seat set-up was. Have you posted these pics before? I just figured that you didn't think it was safe to show on-line. What are the inherent problems with it? Thought about a spring on the round shaft to help with bumps? It does look like a comfy seat by the way. Does the V base plate cover all foot sensors?

I had been wondering how it was attached to the Seg. I now see how it is attached to the briefcase carriers. Boy they are really universal aren't they? Have you thought of attaching you hitch to the V base plate?
