Great upgrade Jonathan. A great improvement from the last one. It seems that the tubing may in fact help better protect the led's now. It looks like it puts out more lite where you need it now. I often offer advice to Segger's here, not to often I get to see, or hear results from my suggestions. Your welcome. I guess the battery pack is rechargable? I like the 12v cigarette lighter plug (Uhmm) Accessory Outlet. I believe that maybe you are the first that I've heard of with an external Accessory connection. Great job. I also like the fact that you have a phone type rj11/14 connector on it. I was thinking also that maybe in the future that you might want to switch to USB outlet, being everything is going that way. But if you wanted to light a cigarette from your bag that would freak everyone out. :) I personally think that the USB connections are great but they need a little clip thingy that the phone cords also have to keep them from falling out all the time. Know what I mean? Oh, great pics too.

Thanks for the great reply ken,
Im sure this is NOT the last time I will be doing a headlight mod, The company that makes the LED strip, is talking to me about THEM building a segway headlight.
We will see what happends there!
The cig, ummm the External Accessory Connector also doubles as a charging port for the internal batteries - The switch is a lighted switch, BUT it was eating alot of power to tell me, that the headlight was on (which I could see, anyway!)
Of course everything is hot glued / insulated / waterproofed!

I used some leds (60) light assembly from www.able2products.com, red for rear and white or front. Mounted lights to Wayne’s skid plate and used Wayne’s accessory box to hide small lead acid rechargeable battery (www.kcaps.com). They are very bright and are encapsulated in a 12 inch long assembly. They work great and are bright even though I also use an HID headlight.

Hey Rich,
cool modification. Looks almost like it was factory!
What batteries do you use to power it. and where else besides front and rear do you have lights?
