Hi All,

We had a total of 24 Segway's at the SF Zoo at a glide that was organized by Neelix and his family. It was a private tour (pre-public admission) which included all kindsa stuff that the general public doesn't get on a normal tour.

Was totally fun to see the Zoo on a Segway! The Deputy Director of the Zoo, John Mann, was also on a Segway, and he loved it. He told us that Segway's are still not allowed at the Zoo during normal public admission, but this was a special occasion.

Here are some pictures:

Fear not, for even though I come from the Forbidden City, I surely do not agree with the rules.

Were they all from the SF area? I really enjoyed seeing all of those folks on HT's, just enjoying a day at the zoo.

I think that 'zoo tours' would be a great opportunity. Smaller crowds, flat riding, and great scenery. Plus, lots to see and talk about.

Any other entrepreneurs out there...give it a try.

Yep-- from the SF Bay Area. We had 15 from Bay Area SEG, 4 friends of Woz, 2 from the Zoo, 2 Seg dealers, and 1 reporter with WIRED News.

Neelix and his family did a great job organizing the event! I really hope that other regional SEG's can also host events like this. It is really a lot of fun to ride around with other Segs.

I think organized activities like this are a perfect thing for any SEG to be involved with.
