Mike_Gansler: During charging, it is not a bad idea to have a fan blowing air over the packs.
This is by no means necessary, but the descriptions in the Battery Care Booklet mention how this can be a help. During charging, keeping the cells cool will allow the charge process to operate more efficiently and store more energy in your packs, and energy is range!

If anyone is interested, I use a Suncourt Equilizer 2 Register Booster Fan, Ebay item #5907134432. I had to cut slots around the bottom perimeter for air flow. I mounted it on a plywood board that places my HT right over the fan every time I go for a charge. In making the board, I placed a 2x4 on it to act as a kickstand. All I do is drive up, stop, get off, turn off, lean, and then plug-in. It works great for me!

My HT's are kept in a paddock-like room that is kept 'very cool'. In addition, I use a high-velocity occillating fan.

I use special timers that the surge protectors are plugged into. Following the tours, I simply plug the charge cord into the HT. After aproximately 1.5 hours of cool-down the timers turn on and everything charges properly. The cool down and monthly discharge are critical to long term battery use. I think that I am exceeding the average battery life-span through daily conditioning...
