OK ... Here is my last ditch effort ...
Due to financial constraints, this is my only chance to get to SegwayFest '04. IS ANYONE DRIVING TO SEGFEST, AND COMING THRU, OR ANYWHERE NEAR, INDIANAPOLIS (with room for me and my Segway)?? I would love to talk about splitting expenses, and I can provide a place to sleep FREE during the trip down and back (in the Clearwater area - 2-3 hours north of Bonita Springs). Crashing in Clearwater on Thursday night and Sunday night means only two nights required at the resort - with a room split 2 or more ways - that's MUCH more affordable.
This is my only hope ... and MAN, I don't want to miss it!!!

And by the way, last year two million exciting technical jobs went unfilled in this country because you weren't there to take that job. And it pays you 10 times as much as flipping burgers, and it's fun and it's exciting and you get to create things and build things and help make the world a better place and help make yourself a better living.’ Who tells them this?”

Indy1st E is first rate - I lent him one of our HT's last year for Segfest - and he is a great guy! Lucky but still great!

I'll be driving down but from the NYC area. Any way we can meet in between and that would be fine with me. I'd like to travel without going through 95 the whole way. E-mail me and maybe we can work out something.
I have family in Spring Hills area, right near Clearwater so that would be no problem.

I concur... Stu is #1! He was generous enough to haul himself and his segway to the far side of town to give my dad a demo he's been wishing for for years.

Thanks to Bill, Sal, and Nancy for the kind words ...
This reply is also to bump this thread for one last plea, so I can make my final decision before Sept 1. If anyone is driving anywhere close to Indianapolis on their way to SegwayFest '04, and has room for one + Segway, PLEASE CONTACT ME ASAP! (Either post or email). I am willing to pay more than my share of expenses!! I REALLY DON'T WANT TO MISS THE FEST!
thanks!
