View Full Version : How many have neighbors with Gliders???
Wanted to start a really quick post since my neighbor is receiving his brand spanking new i170 in two days.
How many SCers here know of other owners who live less than a block away, or neighbors even?

According to the SEG America Nearby Neighbors list, there are several members not to far away from me, but I have not met any of them and I don't know if they have HT's.
I have never met another Segway HT rider by chance.

I met someone who lives about 4 blocks over that owns a Seg and had never heard of this forum.

I have a number of nearby neighbors, and a number of friends, who have Segway HTs.

I too have other HT owners living around me in Torrance but I’ve never seen any of them. I’m more than will to be a meeting place! Or we all can meet at Wilson Park some day and take a glide and picnic somewhere around the Park.

I saw a Segway HT rider in the neighborhood a couple of months ago and chased after the other HT. Because we were both travelling at 12.5 mph, I never caught up with the rider and the person disappeared behind a residential property before I turned the corner to see what home they lived in.
To this day I assume the owner brought home an HT from work and were joy riding. Never saw the HT again!

There's another owner in my neighborhood, but I had to go to Chicago to find out. We were at SegwayFest and I saw her town printed on her ID badge. Since then, we've done several glides closer to home.

In my block none! - in my neighborhood - about a mile radius - I would say there are 2 others. In my city plenty! But Never Enough!
