July 14th, 2004 was the day when 500 consecutive daily glides became history! July 15th marks the 500th day since the March 3, 2003 delivery day. The web log contains an account of every glide. Now all that is needed is a historical summary of your glide history since delivery day! It's been a great 16+ months and reading everyone's HT experiences on SegwayChat has enhanced the enjoyment..

Congratulations, Mark! Glad we could help you sustain the record when you were in CA in June for your folks' anniversary.

So will you keep making a deliberate effort to glide every day, or was 500 the goal? I'm guessing you're heading for 1,000 days now...

But when I saw the high number of posts on the web site, I hauled out the calendar to check the days and saw the end at 496. The daily glides started with the commitment to use the HT daily to get my moneys worth. PT encouraged me to document HT thoughts and adventures early on. What started with web site comments during the first two weeks of usage turned into the daily web log. Thanks to Frank Tropea for starting the personal web log area!

I never thought continuous daily glides would ever last this long. 3 months, 6 months, and the glides continued. I even announced on SegwayChat it would end after one year. The graciousness of other Segway owners allowed me to continue by stepping on their Segway HTs during travel time this year.

It's been a great adventure and the Segway HT is as fun to use now as during the first few weeks!
