The irony of his name and opinion kills me. LOL !!!!

But not DAN Glidewell who actually likes the Segway HT:

http://www.thehollandsentinel.net/stories/092202/bus_092202063.shtml

Wonder if they're related?

Here is what each thinks of the Segway HT:

Jan Glidewell - "..(it's) an overpriced gyroscopically balanced scooter for adults too lazy to walk, an idea with a half-life less than the Edsel's."

Dan Glidewell - Glidewell said he was attracted to working for the company because of how the product can impact people and workplaces.
"I think everybody has a responsibility to contribute to society," he said.

Regardless, how could a guy named "Glidewell" not love the Segway HT? ;)

My next time out I will do a "Pass In Review" for GlideMaster Glidewell. Once you learn to Glide they can't take that away from you. Some things cannot be undone.

Not much more to elaborate on with that one. Just part of the overall corporate Segway, LLC restructuring

How much restructuring is Segway doing these days? Is there a way to find out?

Is any of this our business? :D

well, they put up some new shelves in the kitchen and replaced a couple of the older file cabinets....

oh, you mean personnel restructuring. Yes, there is an easy way to find out. just go to http://segwayrestructuring.com and it has all of the gory details.

seriously though (it's that's possible at this point) Segway has gone through the usual type of restructuring that has run rampant in technology companies through this downturn. Basically do try to do the same thing with a lot less people as well as re-evaluate the operational model (specifically how sales cycles are handled) and make cuts where necessary. Some of the fallout of that has been made public (both in layoffs and resignations) just from the executive team omissions on their own site. As well as others such as Tobe Cohen. The rest you just have to kind of 'know' about.

Thanks Zigman ... I'd wondered about that, as Holland, Michigan is just up and around the other side side of this fairly large body of fresh water that I live next to. I actually drive through Holland pretty frequently on my way to visit family.
