took some pixs in daylight (somewhat overcast)
it doesn't bother me, but much of it looks more like midnight black than blue - tire rims might have a touch of blue.
light blue kickstand does stand out, but matches power assist button - top of kickstand should have been midnight blue, midnight black or midnight gray
the removable logo piece in the front just above the powerbase also seems to have red or purple mixed in

Boy, it sure does, doesn't it? And the machine does almost look black. That's DEEP Blue ... would have been a great name, but I guess it's already taken by a certain computer company. :)
I'd sure like to know whether the "carbon fiber" fender inlay is real or not. Looks cool, in any case. Thanks for the pics Richard.

How well does the CS quick release mechanism work? I find that I need to torque my standard bolt type down before each ride to keep the CS from making a creaking sound when the "play" is exercised.

it works fine but doesn't get used much
used to be invaluable when you had to reboot

Richard,
I like the color but two things to me look cheap.
The kickstand lever and the wheels.
Like the new look on front of the handlebar.
You did put in your order for a red and green one didn't you?
You have enough now to go into the rental business.
That would be a business expense where you could take a tax deduction for all your Segs.

Hmm. So I'm still wondering . . .
Would it be better to leave the wheels as-is, or to add Wayne's reflective stickers in the divots (on the new i170)?
Anyone with a new i170 have an opinion on that?

I agree. The machine looks great. However, the wheels could use a little something. Has anyone ever effectively painted a set of wheels? I'm guessing it wouldn't be the best surface for paint to adhere, to. Some decals might be an improvement. I'd rather have black wheels to go along with the dark color. Stealth.

ions82,
Check out the wheels that W9GFO painted, complete with black reflective stickers. They are sweet.
I'm wondering if I can achieve something similar with midnight blue wheels and the reflective stickers, or if it would look better without the stickers.
