I was stopped by a park ranger in Highlands Ranch, CO for riding on the trails within the master planned community. After giving him the "demo/talk" he went into the usual "no motors are allowed law." Anyway, he sent my case to his manager and his director. Instead of fining me and/or banning segways, they have asked me to come by for a formal demo. They said they have saftey questions as well. I have a couple of passionate gliders that are going to help with the meeting. Will keep you all posted...
WOW! How wonderful! Keep us posted, and lets hope that future "interactions" with the authorities in other parts of the country will be met with the same openness.

Paul, be sure to let me know when/where the demo will be held and I will supply my support as a future Highlands Ranch Segger! I would love to see them open the HR greenbelt bike paths to gliding.

My experience has been that if you can demonstrate that the Segway can be ridden safely and responsibly, the officials will in most cases welcome its use...
