Congratulations to everyone, I'll look for some serious activity from you guys (and gals)! I know as I am trying to get DC SEG off the ground I am having a REALLY hard time getting any interest from the local folks at all!! (The 3 people who actually reply to my email or posts just aren't going to be able to support the organization!) Whatever you think you can do to assist in that venture would be greatly appreciated! I hope you'll keep me in your immediate circle!

Tim, DON'T BE DISCOURAGED! It is easy for us as Segway Passionates to be charged with vision and a desire to build a community; some folks just want time to glide.

How many "Nearby Members" do you have? Keep an eye on that list over the next few weeks. I will be adding some more functionality to allow folks to contact members nearby. I just want to pass it by Stan and others. (An Email Policy is in the works.)

Right now, we have 3,336 people registered on SEG America, with 312 of them cross registered with Segway Chat. We know that we will never hear from most of them again because they were just in it for the giveaway.

I would like to say thanks to the 479 people who took the time to cast thier votes - whomever they voted for. This helps to give us an indication of the level of real interest in the group. 500 people to start an organization such as this is a great start.

The Executive Board has already begun work to make an organization that can organize it's members and give them a valuable service. We are not sure how long anything is going to take, but we will be working hard to get this moving along quickly so that we don't lose any of the great momemtum we have now.

Be patient, stay tuned, we will keep you informed in the private members only section.
