I think that each day next week, the SegwayChat (which is why it should stay in this forum) should offer a series of live chat debates. Each day for each Executive Board position. I look forward to speaking directly to the members of the SegwayChat and member of SegAmerica.JIM Phd

I would love for Frank, or Pam to consider this as an official request from a member and from many members who want to get a chance to ask questions. Please discuss it and post your decision. JIM Phd thanks

I think that a live chat here would reach very few voters compared to the 3000+ people registered for SEG America and eligible to vote.
But, let's to it anyway!

my guess is that everyone who is going to vote will have done so in the next 48 hours

you are saying (see your other posting) that only 300 of the 3000 members, will see the bio's for all information concerning their future elected officials. This is a serious problem and therefore my request to have a complete members email list given to ALL canadidates. An informed membership is an asset to all.JIM Phd

NO!!!!
The bios and statements are posted on the SEG America web site for EVERYONE to see. The Email sent to all registered SEG America members gave the link to the statements page and to the ballot page. Did you get the EMail? Did you visit the SEG America site?
It's all there for all 3,000+ members to see - anyone with a web browser. It is a totally level playing field for all of the candidates. There is no advantage to a candidate who is partial to sending out spam and has the facilities to do so. The voters read the statements and cast thier ballots - simple and fair.

I would say most of those registered on SegAmerica are NOT likely to vote. My bet is that at least 1/2 of those registered are only there for a chance at the free Segway (and I can't say I blame them).

And by the way, last year two million exciting technical jobs went unfilled in this country because you weren't there to take that job. And it pays you 10 times as much as flipping burgers, and it's fun and it's exciting and you get to create things and build things and help make the world a better place and help make yourself a better living.’ Who tells them this?”

I would strongly suggest that if you wish to have live chats that you state the time and utilize the chatroom here on SC. It doesn't require that it be here in the HT forum, it belongs in the Seg America forum, because only seg America members can vote. If you want to chat, send a note to the SA forum stating when you'll be there and invite the other members to join you. It's not a big deal.

We don't need live chats. I'm betting most everyone have already made up their mind.
Another guess is out of the 3000 + members there will only be 3 to 700 that vote.
First order of business for the new board should be if and how much dues should be and get that started ASAP to get rid of the ones who only signed up for a free Seg.
Since I think the new elected board will come only from SegChat members I voted for all the winners!!!
