It looks like Independence Technology (Johnson & Johnson) is not only showing off the iBOT and iGLIDE, but the Segway HT as well!

Jeffrey Rosenbluth, M.D., assistant professor of physical medicine and rehabilitation, and director of spinal cord injury medicine at the University of Utah, "is most excited about how the Segway Scooter could help people with incomplete spinal cord injuries and who have difficulty walking. 'This device is very feasible for these patients and gives them more independence and freedom,' he said."

I have an injury like a spinal cord injury that makes me have no feeling in my right leg, but I'm about to stand with no problems. The Segway is a dream come true for me. I'm able to now do things I have not been able to do in years. God bless LLC.

IT & J&J are the only ones not contractually prohibited from espousing the medical capabilities of the HT after J&J invested in the iBOT. That prevents the iBOT from competing against its own technology. Obviously, they are two very different animals, but the HT could cut into iBOT's bottom line in a minor way if not precluded from being promoted or offered as a medical device. Glad they're not opposed to doing so, it only adds another level of class to their already classy operation.

We've been saying it for a while on this forum....you would have to be mad to not consider the mobility assistance aspects of the Segway....
it's cost effective,(yes.. you heard right!) enabling and barrier breaking!
