This was a court-ordered auction of a "pyramid scheme" broker.
Somebody really lucked out!

Well, if they are in good shape then 2500.00 each is still an excellent buy. Deals like that that never seem to come this way!

Lucky buyer, unlucky investors. Seems these folks scammed $12M and the authorities hope to recover ~$2M, out of which will come the cost of prosecuting the crimes. What a shame!

Well, I hope they went to mzokc, I emailed him about the auction last Monday, I saw it was coming up and he seemed to be the closest SegChat member to Meeker (20 miles or so), so I gave him the tip-off. I figured they might go cheaply... I never heard from him whether he was interested or not...

$1250 or $2500... Still a good buy! Wish I could have gone!

I didn't go to the auction (forgot about it and was taking photos at the company Easter egg hunt!)

Maybe one of the investors got a good deal. I certainly hope so.
