111 demos today!

I just wanted to report that the Bay Area SEG had a very successful day of demos at the US FIRST Silicon Valley Regional Event today.

We did 111 demos during the early afternoon with the help of about 10 SEG members and friends.

The only negative was that campus security asked two of our members to leave the SJSU campus with their Segs, as motorized vehicles are not allowed on campus property. Ironically, the officer was driving on the sidewalk in a car.

Did any other SEGs have public demos today?

SEG Indiana is having thier first meeting tomorrow, out of the roughly 20 emails I sent, I got 1 response (thanks to you know who), but weather permitting, I know IndyFirstEngineer, Wenbias, and myself will be happily gliding, and demoing.

Nice! The only Segway at the Colorado FIRST Regional last weekend was a borrowed one that an event official was riding, and he refused to do any demos for anyone. I'm hoping that I will have my HT by the time the 2005 regional rolls around, and I will volunteer to spend at least one day doing nothing BUT demos for the attendees!
