Within about 10 minutes, I saw 2 different shots of Segways on Cartoon Network. The first was on Futurama. Fry and Bender were riding two yellow Segways with chrome wheels. During a commercial advertising Cartoon Network, (I was looking at my mechanics homework) my friend Ian said that the Jetsons were riding Segways.

Does the Jetsons not have a robot maid on two wheels?
Yup, Rosie, their maid uses some sort of dynamic stabilization technology!
HA! Now we know where DEAN gets his ideas! LOL

Well, if those 3 tiny wheels are supporting and balancing that robot's emmense girth, I am sure it's using some sort of dynamic stabilization.

I dont think it was the Jetsons on Segways.... I think that all of their stories and animations are from 10+ years ago. I think that it was dome other sort of "Human" transporter, maybe a hover-scooter.

Segwayowner, the Jetsons were on a new commercial advertising Cartoon Network. (It was probably made within the last few months)

Has anyone noticed the Burger King commercial for their new chicken sandwich? (It may be a regional offering.) The commercial features a cartoon chicken that sprouts Seg-leg wheels and zooms off screen. Looked like he had a smile as he departed (as most Segway riders do!). I haven't seen it since last week, but I've been watching and waiting....

great keep those popular culture Segway images posted. I would appreciate anyone who and send me copies of anything they see. This is a way to get Segway in the minds and hearts of the youth.

Thats awesome!
I remember the segway was once on the Simpsons.
It wasn't being ridden though.

The one on the Simpsons was actually being ridden by Doctor Hibbert. It seemed like it was an I series, but you really couldn't see the wheels that well.

I didn't see that one.

Zoli,
Oh, ok. I never saw that episode. The one that I am talking about is when Springfield splits into the East and West halves because Homer gets mad at the rich people. (Not a great description, but hopefully it works.) Dr. Hibbert was riding a HT at the Town Hall right before the town splits.
