There are even tours of such prosaic places as Sarasota and Spokane. “People really want to try a Segway,” says Bill Neuenschwander, president of Mobile Entertainment in the Twin Cities. “I put a person on it, and within 15 seconds I get a grin.” If you don’t want a tour, you can rent a Segway on your own, for $35 to $50 an hour, at tour operators or rental outfits in cities from Anchorage to Auckland.
