Decided to run some bona fide errands today on my HT. Three errands:

1. Mail bills
2. Grocery shopping
3. Deposit check at bank

Mail Bills? success
Groceries? Success 12. bag hold 1/2 gal.milk, small bag of sugar, loaf of bread, kryptonite lock.
Bank Deposit? Failure.

Why? forgot to take the check with me. Doh!

Did I spell Errands right?

Ha! Maybe if the Segway had a little ginko biloba dispenser on there it would have been 100% effective!

Well john , 2 outta 3 aint bad!!!......imagine how much worse it would have been had you started your machine at home and then forgotten to bring the keys along ! (I forget my camera )
Neelix.....that dispenser is great....but I always forget to refill it !

What do you need the lock for? I just take my Segway into Safeway, Osco, Circle K, the bank, and the post office... they all love having me there...

;) Forgotten check equals failure????? I think not.
Forgotten check equals a good excuse to go for another glide later.

All good responses, and what a collection of commedians. We could go on the road with that act (wouln't make much money).

Speaking of banks, has anyone used the drive through on their HT?

Ben, about the lock. I don't feel comfortable bringing my HT into poeple's buildings. I believe you are disabled in some way (If I recall from your other posts) this would make a big difference in acceptance. If you are not disabled, then chalk one up for me needing Ginko Biloba.

Once...and was asked not to do it again. So, I park at the door and go inside...they have large enough windows to keep an eye on the machine while I stand in line.

The first time I rode my Segway to the bank, I pulled up in the drivethrough, leaned over a bit, looked in the window, and asked something like:

"Um, would it be more appropriate for me to use the drivethrough, or to come into the bank with a Segway?"

They said "either way is fine!" -- I rolled into the bank, and they all got pretty excited. Now, I usually just roll through the drive-through at the bank. They love it.

I'll try the drive through next time, they can either allow it or not. Nothing to lose.
