To all interested Houston-based Segway Owners... and anyone else nearby enough to join us for some fun times!
I've got some good news for all of you regarding the Houston Art Car Parade and the Houston SEG's participation in it!
What we're going to need to do is, individually, go to the following link and fill out an entry form for each person who is riding. The deadline to register is MARCH 5th (FRIDAY!) at 5PM so please make very sure that if you want to participate in the parade that you get it sent in by that date.

I will cover the entry fee, so DO NOT SEND ANY MONEY TO THE ORANGE SHOW! I'm on it! ; )
The two most important aspects of the entry form that you need to make sure you fill out are the Indemnity area and make sure you indicate that you are a member of the Houston Segway Enthusiasts' Group pretty big and bold somewhere on the form. Also, please make sure to send your entry to the attention of Kim Stollis, as she will be handling matters on our behalf.
Also, on the "Type of Entry" area on the form, I'd just check 'Contraption' as I think the Segway fits best (even if it is a little loosely!) under that type!
On to the 'fun stuff'... Shady Eddie and I got to set the pace for the whole parade last year as The Orange Show put the pair of us right up front at the starting lineand set the pace for the whole parade! It's very possible we will, as a group, be allowed to do the same again this year.
As far as decorating our Segways, some of you may have seen the Mardi Glide pictures on these forums... well, I think we should defiinitely 'spiff up' our machines and get some decorations going on them! We have some time to work on the details, but a plain vanilla Segway really isn't going to rock the crowd's socks off!
Anyway, that's all I've got for now... those who have decided to enter, please email me back when you have submitted the entry form so I can start strategizing a few details.
All my best to each of you!
Robert O'Sullivan
ps. Apparently, Budweiser is also going to have six Segways on hand for the parade as well (something Kim had mentioned to me!), so it could be a very nice Seg-themic (a new word for the Segtionary!) parade!
