Segs patroling the Oscars

On my ride this evening, I was told that LA is using segs to patrol the streets outside the Oscars which is being held at the relatively new Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Vine. The guy mentioned that the officer had a "problem" handling the plastic covers that cover all of the television and temporary electrical lines. That area has been closed to traffic all week. This is the first that I have heard of LA police having Segs which would account for the officer's poor segging.

re: the problem with the plastic covers, i have gone over production cable covers before on mt segway with no prob.. I wonder if they have enough speed.

Ahh... but those production cable covers can be BIG - there are small/medium/large and HUGE ones. I was at the state fair and while walking around saw a few leading to different rides that I know I'd be scared to glide over...
