The program is a life-changing, career-molding experience-and a lot of fun. In 2004 the competition will reach more than 20,000 students on over 800 teams in 24 competitions. Our teams come from Canada, Brazil, the U.K., and almost every U.S. State. The competitions are high-tech spectator sporting events, the result of lots of focused brainstorming, real-world teamwork, dedicated mentoring, project timelines, and deadlines.

You can find out much more about this exciting opportunity at http://www.usfirst.org/robotics.

Good luck with your competition.
We need volunteers all over country
This is my first First season, I am mentoring a rookie team and loving it. At the Lego League they had me do crowd control, the Segway is perfectly suited for the job. A lot of the jobs can be done from a Segway.
Being apart of something that has such a big impact on the worlds future has immeasurable rewards and it is fun too.

Thanks Bill. It's really exciting to see so many kids get fired up about science and engineering ... and it's a very Segway-friendly environment! SegwayChatters ... please volunteer for--or at least attend--your local Regionals event if there's any way you can. You'll be glad you did!
