[u]Anything discussed in this thread should not be done on sidewalks or streets, only on private property with the owners permission.
A helmet should be worn, the surface should be checked for traction and loose objects. Avoid carpeted surfaces, with the higher G loading and traction the carpet can be torn! There should be crowd control so people do not enter your performance area. Inspect your machine, tire pressures and secure fasteners. If there are other thoughts on safety please post them. </u>
This thread is for people who are using there Segways artistically.
At my training at Bedford we were asked how we would use our machines my one word answer was “Dance”
With the limited space of NYC I don’t get to practice as much as I would like! For the rest of the winter SegwayNYNY will be renting a dance studio every Sunday afternoon. One of our goals is to develop an audition video to submit to Macy’s to be considered for this year Thanksgiving Day Parade. Right now it seams like an insurmountable task. There must be others out there who are using there machines artistically. Peter Gabriel and his daughter are performing on theirs during his concerts. There are others out there, lets get together and create some beautiful art!
