If you were to ask Dean what his greatest invention is, he would say First.
First needs our help, it is not too late to mentor a team this season. The Lego league competitions start next week and are in dire need of volunteers. All the competitions need our help!
My health has improved enough that I am able to mentor a rookie team. We built our first drive train last night and hope to have a drivable prototype by the end of the week. My team is going for a simple reliable design.Go 1462
The finals are in Atlanta this year April 12th thru 17th. I plan on being there and it would be great to have a strong Segway presents there and at all the regional competitions.
A friend of mine operates two roller rinks in Atlanta and is interested in Segways, If we can get enough machines, we will have an indoor Segway dance like I am doing in NYC.

I am a native Atlantan and I would be able to volunteer (hopefully) during the finals. If you can, please e-mail me about who to get in contact with for volunteer oppertunites for the finals.

It actually works the other way around. ;)

There is a dedicated F.I.R.S.T. forum on this site. I can't possibly understand why it needs to be posted in the main Segway forum.

If the reason is because of the slow volume of visitors in the F.I.R.S.T. forum on this site, the only problem here is that there is not enough interest on behalf of the members in that particular subject.

Subject threads are moved if they are off topic.


edit: not that it matters, but this is the 'first' time moving this subject thread. Also, I admire the idea and your effort about this post with helping the kids and F.I.R.S.T.. KEEP IT UP!! [8D]

I was tring to reach as many people as possible, this a important issue and you moved it to a backwater forum.
I put much thought in my postings and there placements.
