Thank you for all of your replies! I see I hit a nerve based on the replies! Segway has called and they are sending their chief engineer to Seattle to see in person the performance issues that I have experienced with the upgrade. I will keep you posted on any improvements that they make which may also help those of you also experiencing difficulties with the upgrade.
Perhaps my Segway's performance was more greatly noticed than others due to the hills that I use it on, or for other various reasons are difficult to gage.
Thank you to those that picked up on the fact that there was a claim from the Segway representative that by upgrading I would not notice any difference on the performance, which was my deciding factor at the moment to upgrade. I failed to inform you that at that same meeting I also point blank asked him what the worst case scenario would be if there was a big noticeable difference in performance that made me very unhappy with upgrading, and the Segway representative told me at that time that in a worst case scenario Segway would ship me another unit without the upgrade, which they cannot because all of the units have been upgraded.
So let's see if Segway does have a solution, or perhaps my unit has another problem that has gone undiagnosed. I will post the results when I have them after their visit on February 12th.
