Has anybody here thought about a monthy magazine about Segways and the chat? I could include updates, new accesories, testimonials, and humor.
With all the authors here, i am surprised that nobody has brought this up before...
it could be fun to put it together every month and keep everybody up to date...

That would be a good business for someone to get into. Who knows in the years to come it may be very profitable.

It's definitely something I've considered as well. It sort of reminds me of the old Bantha Tracks newsletter for Star Wars fan club members back in the 70's. It could be an immense amount of fun to do.
The powers that be will probably see this and add it to their 'to-do' list!
I'd love to write a regular column in said magazine... perhaps "View From A Seg" or something similar. We shall see what may come of it!

"BORN TO GLIDE"
great idea, hard to pull off unless someone really commits to it.
it's really hard to make $ on a magazine, i've work on and with a few and it's tough. up front costs, printing, authoring, you name it- it's pricey. plus there's staffing, legal and so many other things.
i tried to keep bookofseg.com like a magazine, but bandwidth costs, updates and some other things made me press the pause button for this month on it. there's lots of interest, but not a lot of people are willing to put in the work, or at least not "owning" it.
cheers,
pt

To make money with Segway would be great accomplishment. It seems to me the Segway chat with logo, store, magazine, directory of members could all be possible. The Chat could serve all the needs and make a pile of money. Maybe a profit sharing kind of coop, common stock for those who put in the time and money. Someone has had the idea for a monthly Segway magazine for a long time. I checked the US patent office on Segway and found most of the use of the word and logo are owned by LLC. But one company with a Texas address had trademarked, SegwayOwnersGoups Magazine. Anyone know who or what this was about.

Well, I'd be happy to throw in some design work. Even if we had the magazine online (cheaper) to start.

Yo Itsi! That "yellow thing" is Blinky chatting. This is Dereks new logo for SegwayChat! Very original. The boy will go far someday!

I don't think Segway would try and fund a Glider magzine at this time. Like pt said money is an issue. Even if it's not for the purpose of making money LLC does not have that kind of captial to just splurgy with at this time. They have a ways to go before they even start to make a profit on their investment.

I could contribute my time, and im good with photoshop, photo editing and covers, if you guys need it. In any case I could help with whatever we would need (If we actually started it!).
