Hey All!
We are having great results with our Mountaineer studded extra-traction tires. Snow and ice? No problem! (see Dereks snow video)
Mud and wet grass? Get out of here! (read Jeff Allens product review)
With studded extra-traction tires there is now virtually nowhere a Segway can't glide (except on water and we're working on that too!)
I still have left a few sets of my original 12 pairs of tires that I've earmarked for my Beta testing program. You pay the shipping charges only (as high as $60 if you want them fast, or $30 ground shipping) I have talked with a few of you and haven't heard back from you yet. I am still looking for a few more testers to try them and tell us here at SC what you think, and any improvements I could make.
My cost is appr. $550 a set (labor, carbide studs, and $400 a set extra-traction tires) I'ld been thinking of getting $650 a set after the Beta testing is over, but that is too darn high! When my webpage is open for business later this week I'll list them at $600 a pair and hope that soon LLC will give me a pricebreak. ($600 is still darn high but its the best I can do for now). If any of you SC members are interested in participating, let me know on this thread or email me!
