I can't seem to find the thread re making a copy of the disabled permit tag to put on the front of the SEgway handlebar carrier. I do not use mine at all so far (lucky) but thought I should have it more convenient. I thought maybe I could make a copy of it and laminate it and then fasten it to straps, so that normally it would be inside the carrier and flip out in case I thought I should display it. Maybe velcro the lower end down. Any ideas. Of course I carry the official ID in my billfold.

Murry --Keep that handicap sticker hidden! :) I can't help it that I look so good and healthy on my Segway so I carry a laminated copy of my prescription for the Segway and a paper copy of the prescription as well. The purpose of the paper copy is to obtain the signature (name, title, date) of the person who might try to restrict my access. To-date, no one has signed my prescription. I can see where displaying the handicap sticker might make it easier. However, my personal preference is to give the impression of a person on a very cool machine not a person with physical challenges. Again, just my preference. Cheers!

HI Rex, Yes, I keep my handicap sticker in the glove box of the cars and in the carrier on the SEg. My wife always says that until we have to crawl on our hands and knees, we are NOT going to use those or the Senior parking spaces! Ha. There are SO many different types of disabilities. Most are way worse than mine. I guess, like yours, mine is not very obvious. Mine is arthritic hips and knees. I just can't walk very far without a rest stop. So far I have not needed it to prove anything. However I find that a good many people THINK that the reason I am riding the Seg is due to a handicap! I guess just the idea of the thing gives them that thought. One nice lady even asked me if I could get off the Seg and into a car or wheel chair okay!! Ho ho.
