Our HT at The Science Place in dallas has been outer order for a month or more. Since I've been at home with my little brain tumor problem, I left it to my associate Summer Smith to solve the problem. I received this message from her recently. We're looking forward to more public rides on our HT before January.

Has anyone had a similar problem?

Paul O. Johnson

I've talked with Segway about our "issues" with Paul's HT.

Here's the scoop:

The red, full-battery, wrench-showing readout indicates a "power base
failure." Segway (contact person: Dave) is shipping us a new power base
(both incoming and outgoing) for the HT, which should arrive by Tuesday.
Basically, once the new part arrives, or maybe slightly before, we'll be
called by the service technician. He/she will come to TSP and install the
new part Wednesday or Thursday.

Hopefully that'll secure us a wonderful, working-again HT!

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good self-balancing personal
transportation device!

-Summer

I wonder if LLC will fix your old powerbase then reuse as a replacement for someone elses that fails.
