Most of the lower priced ones on eBay are scams. Be very careful. Try searching in this forum using the the eBay reference and you will see that a number of scams have been reported.

The low-priced auctions are scams that got pulled off eBay ("ended") early or with not enough sucker bids. The overpriced ones are auctions that have been defeated by a good samaritan who knows it's a scam -- they bid it up beyond reason to prevent anyone from getting suckered. You can spot most of these easily by the "0" feedback sellers, the "WesternUnion / Moneygram" payments, short descriptions, forbidden local pickup, pilfered pictures, or sometimes bad grammar and an entire listing quoted from segway.com.

I've had no less than THREE sellers propose the "WesternUnion payment to Ukraine under a different name..." scam. It's pretty rampant.

I'd estimate that more than half the eBay listings are scams of some sort. It's a real shame, since it makes the resale value hard to figure. I will only bid on units that I can pick up and pay for in person. I can't imagine any valid reason why a genuine seller wouldn't permit this.
