Segway on The Daily Show

I was watching a preview of the up-coming daily show and they do a report on the Segway, but it didn't look right. They were showing clips of the Segway getting rode around and at one point the reporter says "It shouldn't be called Segway, it should be called "another reason for me to be lazy." and later on in the previews they talk about the recall and he says "Segway had a recall, doesn't a recall mean somebody actually bought one."

That's pretty much par-for-the-course for the Daily Show. I think the show is pretty funny most of the time and I'm sure their take on the Segway was typical. If you have a sense of humor about it I'm sure it was a very funny piece.

That sounds like the Daily Show.

I love the Daily Show. Usually a piece like that turns out to be pretty funny, as the reporter ends up making himself the butt of the joke.

I think when we see the entire piece put together, it'll be kidding the Segway a bit, but all in all, not vicious.

It was a piece a few weeks back - Lewis Black in the Back In Black segment of the Daily Show. The whole segment was a little mean (But hey, That's what Lewis Black Does) but still darn funny. In addition to the above comments, he also had a clip from someone talking about the recall (mentioning that it happens if the batteries are dead) - Black then made some comment about having to be particularly stupid to fall off of one, and showed the picture of Bush falling. Goes on to say that Bush almost got killed by a pretzle, and fell off a scooter, but "he knows what he's doing in Iraq!" It's possible they are replaying the segment on another Daily Show.
