If I remember, "bulk rate" pricing kicks in about the same time you can qualify for "fleet keying" from LLC - it was mentioned at SegFest that fleets qualify for fleet keys at 50 units or more. Remember that Segway is a -very- small company and that they have already knocked down prices $500 in the first 6 months of selling their staple product.

1) Call Segway at 1-866-4-SEGWAY for more details, they can help you out. The guys up at the Relay mothership may be able to help out as well (1-866-RELAY-77, segwaychat user "relay"), or Segway of Texas (sc user god1138). Give all three a shot, see what you can do.

2) Don't expect miracles. Realize the part cost alone for the Segway, not including recouping R&D cost or labor of assembly and testing, is not that much lower than what you're paying according to most members' estimates. This isn't a Lexus that has a markup of doom (no shot at JM or anybody, just a familiar markup car) or Windows at $200 a copy with ~70% profit margin.

3) Enjoy! If worst comes to worst, you may just have to get p-Series models for the fleet of whatever you may be planning, but they'll still be Segways - who knows, maybe a p is exactly what you need!
