Anyone Get a "P" from Brookstone Yet?

I have 2 "I"s and I'm thinking of selling one and geting a "P".

I stopped at a Brookstone tonight and they ASSURED me if I order it, I will get it in 5-6 days if I pay the $100 shipping. (or 2 days of I pay $250!)

Has anyone taken delivery of a model P fromn Brookstone yet?

Interesting... I called up a couple of days ago, and the "Segway specialist" first informed me that they will not be stocking the p series, only the i and "h"!

Within a couple of minutes this change to, oh yes, the p series is available immediately. It then later changed to the p series can be ordered immediately, and will be available in four to six weeks.

I would really love to know if they actually do have some now!

I also have two i's and am thinking of selling one and getting a p. Is there any difference in ordering one from Brookstone vs Aamazon?? I don't anticipate any trouble in selling my i if I reduce the price a bit. Any thoughts on this or is this a forbidden subject on the chat site??

The only difference I see is that you pay a deposit to Amazon and then the rest to Segway, LLC, whereas with Brookstone you make the whole payment.

That difference CAN make a difference if you have a Gold Amex Card, because Amex Gold will Double the Warranty on anything you buy with it, BUT the whole purchase must be on the Amex Card.

I haven't made the final decision yet. I tried a P during upgrade week and loved it. I've got some friends who are getting their 2nd Segway as a P anext week and I'm waiting to try a P again with theirs.

I don't know how I'll sell one of my I's yet. Maybe through friends, maybe list it here, or last choice on E-bay.

I sold my "i" on EBAY in August and bought the new "p" . Segway shipped the "p" to SegwayFest for me, and I appreciate their great service. I really like the "p" over the "i" series and am glad I made the trade.

Amazon.com takes the whole purchase price now, not just the deposit.

I think it's a good change.
