I noticed on tv that Thursday's episode of The Jamie Kennedy Experiment features Kennedy riding around on a Segway pretending to be a police officer giving out fake smoking tickets. There is a video clip on this site:

The show is on the WB channel.

Looks like the firewall here at work is hosing the video for me. I'll have to check it out when I get home. Can't wait to see it Thurs eve. I LOVE that show!!

Yeah, looks like JK is being sensible on the HT from what I can tell in the trailer (definitely the opposite of the Tom Green mentality!)...

just watched it. It was a pretty funny setup. 3 things concerning the segway:
1) did anybody else see the big smile and thumbs-up from the guy in the background on the bench as JK rounded a curve in the park? He was obvouly impressed by the segway, as were most of the people he passed. (but, unfortunately, most of the audience laughed as a reaction to seeing JK on the segway.)
2) he just laid the thing on the ground next to him when he got off!? did he just not notice the tree next o him which he could have leaned it against? it got in the way and he had to step over it a few times. A rather obvious sign that he is not the owner of the segway.
3)when he gave chase to the man in the suit for not posessing the "proper permit" why didn't he just chase after him on his segway? it was just obviously just a set up for the next joke. ("i could'a cought him if I didn't smoke so much") Yea, you could'a caught him if you knew what you were riding too, moron.
All in all, it was pretty funny and presented the HT in a positive light.

As the owner of the Segway which Jamie Kennedy Show rented, I was pleased with the script and use of the Segway, but it reminded me of how a flawed design of the kick stand still haunts the Segway's image. My kickstnad was broken, so that is why it was laying on the ground, and why it was standing far right of the frame, since off camera a grip stand or PA was holding it upright. If LLC had a proper stand, which was easy to use and stable, the Segway would have had center frame focus, looked much more elegant and probably more exposure. I get several calls a week for Segway rentals and hope someday to follow the examples of Paris.

ouch. well after this public showing then I think LLC should offer you another kickstand for free. (isn't a larger, upgraded 2003 model kickstand out there?)

What is the going rate for that type of Segway rental (if you don't mind me asking)?
