I'm in rural Iowa and I don't have a heated storage for my Seg, so I made a deal to park it in the local barbershop thru the winter. It'll be warm and accessable all the time. I know that might sound strange, but, well, - -It's Iowa.- - I just thought of THIS, maybe I could be the first to get my hair cut while standing on a Segway!
I'll get a dig. picture but I don't know how to upload them. Help?

Two Questions: #1,What would be a reasonable or even generous amount to pay for a couple full recharges per month and maintenance charging?
[We're at about 7.5 per kilowatt]

#2, Should I leave it plugged in all the time in or use a timer for intermittent charging? I've read both suggestions.

Thanks pt for the info, I was thinking more like $8.00 mo. + 8.00 haircut per month = $16.00. We're half close.
The parking is free, I just need a handle on the current draw.

Current draw is about $.10 per day, according to what I was told at the time of my training. <G> I think your assessment is probably closer to the mark, fireball. BTW, contact Frank (click on the link at the bottom of the page) about setting up an area on the photo album.

No need to store it for the winter......just hook up some rope and some sled dogs......put it in power assist and let the dogs pull ! The dogs pulling will keep the batteries charging and all you need to do is lean back and enjoy the ride !

Thanks pam,pt,and EG. Interesting idea EG, but I think I would have to keep it in balance mode! Sounds like you're setting me up for a winner on Funniest Home Videos!lol.
An acquaintance of mine nearby actually raises and trains sled dogs, but he uses a Honda atv as a training "sled"in the summer. He keps it in gear-engine off and uses the brakes to stop them. A team can pull a lot.-- Maybe one dog at a time, seriously, that should really increase the range! I"ll talk to him.
I can see it now, me in a parka and a whip in one hand!
