Hi All,

Alex (Sleepy) and I went gliding in Golden Gate park yesterday. On the whole, a very pleasant day of gliding. Only one law spewing cyclist and maybe 15 or so positive comments...

This morning, with only a slight hangover, I glided for the first time to Noe Valley to get my favorite "lemon ricotta pancakes" at Miss Millies. - btw, if you live near SF, you MUST try them. All of the people waiting for their "lemon ricotta pancakes" and I had a Segway "love-in" in front of the place. The only negativity all morning was from the doorman who was visibly perturbed that I asked to put my Segway inside somewhere. He told me I could put it near the front door, which, to me, was clearly in the way...

I fully expected to not have a kickstand when I finished my pancake bliss, but everything was fine.

So all in all, for those who might give a hoot, a great SF Segway weekend...

- Jon

Sounds like you guys had a good glide! Maybe just getting people used to seeing HTs being used safely and conscientiously will have a positive influence. By Tuesday night you'll have a new mayor, I'm optimistic that will have a beneficial effect on SF segging.

Jon, that might have been a good time to reverse the unit and lean it up against the wall. It protects the kickstand from "bystanders" (onstanders?) that way.

Yep, that's what I did. People still try to figure out how it's "balancing" and stuff though...
