Not exactly a stirling product placement. The character riding the Segway is the imbecile of the family.

Wasn't that toybuilders Seg? I thought I saw a few photos that he took from the filming of that show when they borrowed it for that scene.

I noticed that they dupped in some fake motor/gear sounds as he rode into and out of the scene. It least MY Segway does not sound like that.

Let's here it for the foley guys... probably their first time doing foley for a Segway!
I noticed the sound, thought it was OK, would have been strange if there was no sound at all, especially since you couldn't see the Segway clearly as he drove off. He seemed to handle it very well though, like he had some practice before the take. Smooth coming and going and turning, spoke to Jason Bateman while he was stationary on it, like it was "natural" for him to be riding around on one, rather than excited to be the first time riding.
BTW I loved the show. The gag with the "pirates" in the opening, where the punchline came midway through the show, was well played. Also the reference to the JDL after the "h.o.o.p." gag. Silly stuff but good characters. Kind of reminds me of the Newhart shows, with Jason Bateman being the "sane" one surrounded by loonatics.

He even took both hands off for a few seconds while motioning with them. Too bad they didn't include at least the handlebars in the picture while he was stopped.
