there has been a lot of posts about the media lately, and there (has) and will be an unending parade of unresearched articles, particularly the segway...

what can one do? write corrections, angry letters, etc...sure.

but there's something else, self publish.

there are over 1 million active blogs out there (blogs are journals published online).

i started http://www.bookofseg.com to record my experiences, here on segwaychat we have a blog system too (and it's free) there are also other segway site that have news and info (http://segway.weblogs.com).

just something to think about, if just 60 to 100 of us posted something once a week on a blog, that would be a great way to not only get the word out, but to record our experiences. the internet is the great "leveler" giving us all a voice if we choose to take it.

cheers,
pt

Or you can go about as ape-shyte as a treehugger can go, grab ten of your co-workers/peers (peers, pfft!), stick three servers in your office, and start your own publication entirely!

Then again, post anything Segway related, and your solar-nazi teacher will shoot your Liaison Director...but that's a story for another day, children...

Either way, you bring up an excellent point as always, pt. When something doesn't cut it (in our case, http://solarmast.go.to ), don't just lobby for change, make the change yours ( http://www.wavelengthsjournal.com ). Don't necessarily think "well, it's going to get done by somebody else..." get out there, throw something together with some words, HTML, duct tape, and ingenuity, and make a resource!
