Boston: MIT Transportation Fair

MIT Transportation Fair:

MIT will again host its annual Fall Transportation Fair, this year on Monday, October 6, 2003. The event will run from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, located on the Kresge Oval (in front of the Stratton Student Center, across Mass. Ave. MIT's main entrance). According to the announcement, they are expecting about 2000 visitors.

A representative from Segway LLC, plus Tobias (axiotec) and myself will be offering demo's. Other's in the Boston area are invited to join and offer demo's as well.

This is a good opportunity to reach out to college students who could surely benefit from the transportation advantages of the Segway.

Please indicate if you would be able to attend all or part of the event.

My research group at IBM in Cambridge, MA is having an off-site Tuesday and Wednesday the 7th and 8th. I'd like to introduce something innovative and fun to break up the agenda, and know everyone would love to try (or at least see) a Segway. (And many of us can't come to MIT on the 6th which is also Yom Kippur.) I was wondering an by any chance one of you local avid Segway fans would be interested in a free lunch in exchange for bringing your segway? Let me know and I can send more information.
