I think it is the batteries (according to the book) but the company wants me to ship it back. How long will it take to get it fixed and returned to me? I wanted to take it back home with me in three weeks.

Suz, there's not enough information here. Are you working directly with Segway or with one of the sellers - like Relay or Segway Texas? If it is batteries, are you shipping them the batteries back? I would imagine it would be taken care of in 3 weeks. Segway is usually pretty prompt.

Suzie, all I'll say is that the Segway is a very complex machine. These are the folks who built it, engineered it, and now service it as well as help consumers.

Thus, it might be assumed that they know what's best for the servicing of your machine in your scenario. I'd go with what Segway wants you to do - ask them how long it'll take, we can't guarantee times based off of your estimate of the issue unfortunately.

Best regards,
Jordan
