Thanks for the video... very inspirational speech. Was this video created with the panasonic e-wear? I'm thinking of getting one.
The video was made with the streaming MPEG video capture capability of the Sony CD-Mavica CD-250. It records up to about 99 minutes of video on a 210MB 3.5" CD-R.

Who makes that tiny video camera that Woz used to tape Dean's speech? It was about the size of a matchbox.

The small camera Woz had was a Panasonic SV-AV20/30. I bought one a while back but returned it a day later.. it's not for everyone. The video is about 15-20 frames per second. Frankly, my digital camera (Nikon Coolpix SQ) makes much better videos but is limited to only 30 second clips. The Panasonic will also take digital pics and is an MP3 player, but it doesn't do any of the 3 very well. It's an OK device but not worth my $300-400 IMHO.
Alright, here is the video of Sabrina and I gliding from Hyatt Printers Row to the convention center. Enjoy!

"Trees! Ahh, crap, trees!"
"If I play with the zoom it makes me look like I'm catching up to her!"
"Don't wanna get caught Jaygliding"
"We should leave before we get shot by the postmen"
Was that a glide or a comedy show? =)
That was fun to watch.

Fear not, for even though I come from the Forbidden City, I surely do not agree with the rules.
Anyone know how I get the custom Avatar? I want to use my own icon :)

Yikes... that glide video really scared me! As a suggestion, it might be a better idea to really slow down when you approach people like joggers and people with dogs and stuff. Did you guys just borrow these for the day? It seems that way, with the couple of times you had a fall during the video. I was a bit embarrassed watching it, but that's cool, everyone's different...

Ah, the typical glide. You stop and answer questions then you arrive late!
Grab a beer, put the Real Video player in full screen mode and enjoy. This is a classic! And if any dentists are watching, there is a real need for you to go to Chicago!

how do you get the mavica to record longer than just a few seconds?
The CD-250 series supports streaming until the disc is full... the older model (CD-200, and not sure what others), supported only up to two minutes of video.
